Sanober Amin, MD, PhD

Sanober Amin, MD, PhD - Bio Photo Dr. Sanober Amin is board-certified dermatologist who earned her MD and PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the University of Illinois at Chicago and completed her dermatology residency at the University of Minnesota. She practiced in St. Paul and Bloomington, Minnesota for several years prior to her move to Texas, to be close to her family.

Dr. Amin is a published author, recipient of numerous scholarships and awards, and has presented at several regional and national conferences. She has received recognition at the national level for her contribution to research in breast cancer. She was also recognized as Intern of the Year for her dedication and compassion for her patients. She is also a longtime volunteer in her community, having performed skin cancer screenings at health fairs, local hospitals and clinics in underserved communities as well as the Minnesota State Fair annually.

She is a diplomat of American Academy of Dermatology and holds membership in many local and national organizations, including the Texas Medical Association, dedicated to improving health and welfare of patients.

Dr. Amin made dermatology her focus because of its vast depth; the skin is the largest organ of the body and treating skin conditions presents a lot of diagnostic and treatment challenges. She has found that treating skin conditions allows her to make her patients’ lives better on an everyday basis. Although she is well trained in handling a variety of skin conditions, Dr. Amin particularly enjoys treating chronic conditions like psoriasis, hair loss and pigmentary disorders.

In her free time, Dr. Amin enjoys traveling, rafting, cooking, photography and spending time with her family. She treats patients of all ages and is excited to help you with all your skincare needs!
