McKinney TX regains youthful looks, courtesy of transformative Juvéderm Voluma injections

Beautiful woman touching her faceIf you’re reading this, odds are you have some familiarity with Juvéderm or are trying to find out more about this filler. For starters, Juvéderm isn’t any one filler. It’s actually a family of products. In the dermal filler world, this is often the case. Restylane and Belotero, for example, each have different formulations. These formulations differ as they treat different concerns and/or areas of the face. Since the application differs, you should expect some variation among potential side effects as well as outcomes.

Along these lines, Juvéderm Voluma XC is the first injectable approved by the FDA to add volume to the middle part of the face. It’s said the cheek area loses volume faster than any other part of the face. A reduction of fatty tissues as we age, combined with the effects of gravity, causes the once firm apples of our cheeks to fall. Sometimes this reduction can be quite dramatic. In fact, UK-based plastic surgeon Rajiv Grover and medical device supplier Qmed Institute found up to 35 percent of cheek fullness was lost within one year. This decrease in volume occurs at a much faster rate than other parts of the face such as the jawline, chin, forehead, and brows.

What’s more, the midface plays an important role in our appearance. As you start to notice the cheeks aren’t as plump as they used to be, you may also notice the shape of your face is changing. Prominent cheeks can enhance the upper third part of the face, acting as a pedestal of sorts for your eyes to sit on. This desirable inverted triangle of the midface is further enhanced by a more concave, narrower lower third part of the face.

For this reason, cheeks that are the same width as the upper part of the face are coveted because they create a triangle shape. Unfortunately, as we age the cheeks no longer look as prominent, which detracts from the eyes. Lines and wrinkles around the nose and lips further detract from the mouth, so this fat loss and the combined effects of gravity don’t have consequences merely for the midface, they actually affect the look of the entire face.

You can get your youthful face back. Juvéderm Voluma XC corrects this age-related volume loss in the cheeks, creating a lifted appearance. Compared to other dermal fillers, it lasts a long time — up to two years. Furthermore, you can get these natural looking results without having to take drastic measures such as surgery, which may make you look different, not improved. Bruising is also actually very rare in the areas Juvederm Voluma is injedted.
