Bryan Selkin, M.D., F.A.A.D.
Dr. Bryan Selkin has been Board Certified in the area of Dermatology, after extensive training at the esteemed Harvard University, as well as a tour as Chief Resident of Education at the well-respected Harvard University Dermatology Residency Program. Following a rigorous training program in Dermatology, Dr. Selkin joined the faculty at Harvard University and, within the year following his graduation, he was awarded outstanding teacher of the year.
Dr. Selkin maintains a high commitment of sensitivity to the needs of our patients, consistently learning about new technologies and treatments in dermatology. He sees beyond the medical concerns of various conditions, and recognizes the stigma that results from skin conditions affecting the appearance of kids, teens, and adults. Having two young children himself, Dr. Selkin has a great understanding of the needs of his pediatric patients.
Providing personalized care for each patient, our practice is equipped with the most advanced lasers for the treatment of acne, psoriasis, eczema, and various other conditions. Dr. Selkin also provides surgical treatment for skin cancers and other unusual growths.
Dr. Selkin serves as our Medical Director at the Center for Dermatology and Cosmetic Laser Surgery. In our three state-of-the art facilities, we offer cosmetic treatments for the restoration of a youthful appearance, as well as Botox and Dermal Filler treatments for facial rejuvenation.

Gilbert Selkin, M.D., D.M.D.
Dr. Gilbert Selkin is a Board Certified Maxillofacial Surgeon who specializes in reconstruction of the face, head, neck, and oral cavity. Dr. Gilbert Selkin received his M.D. degree from Texas Tech University, and earned a D.M.D. degree from Tufts University in Boston. He went on to complete an internship in General Surgery as well as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the renowned Baylor University Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident.
With this in-depth background, Dr. Selkin is well equipped to restore the highest natural aesthetic results through precise reconstructive treatment of extensive skin cancers. His focus is also beneficial for those who desire a rejuvenated aesthetic appearance through cosmetic surgeries such as brow lift, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), rhinoplasty (nose reshaping), and split earlobe repair, as well as Botox and dermal fillers.
Dr. Gilbert Selkin was recognized by The International Association of Plastic Surgery as a Leading Physician of the World and Top Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Texas in 2011. He was selected by his colleagues to lecture at the annual Southwest Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons meeting, covering the topic of "Local Cutaneous Flaps for Facial Reconstruction of the Trauma Patient." Dr. Selkin is the recipient of the Patients Choice Award for 2012 and 2013, and the Vitals Compassionate Doctor Award for 2013.
Papers authored by Dr. Gilbert Selkin have been published on medical websites and in medical journals. He has participated in research programs at esteemed organizations including Harvard University Teaching Program and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Neda Nosrati, M.D.
Dr. Neda Nosrati grew up in the Houston area, and graduated with the highest honors from the University of Texas in Austin. She earned her medical doctorate from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and subsequently worked in internal medicine at Parkland Hospital in Dallas for one year.
Dr. Nosrati completed a residency in Dermatology at UTMB in Galveston, and is a Fellow with the American Academy of Dermatology.
Michael Wells, M.D.
Michael Wells, M.D. began his college career earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Arkansas, where he graduated with honors. He then moved on to complete medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas. Here, too, Michael Wells, M.D. earned high honors, one for "top pathology student." Following medical school, he served as an assistant instructor during his Internal Medicine Internship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, and completed a three-year residency program at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, where he served as chief resident in his final year. He reached the level of tenured associate professor while at TTUHSC, receiving many Dean's awards during this time, he taught at Texas Tech from 2001-2012.
Michael Wells, M.D. has added to his general dermatology training by also completing the ACGME-approved Procedural Dermatology/ ACMS- approved Mohs Micrographic Surgery Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX. He actively shares his wealth of knowledge and expertise with other healthcare professionals in numerous ways, including:
- Editor for e-medicine (an online medical resource for health care professionals).
- Author of several chapters of an on-line book used to assist health care professionals in making clinical decisions.
- Author and editor involved with creating teaching content for maintenance of certification of health care professionals

Angel Puryear, M.D.
Angel Puryear, M.D. hails from Houston, Texas. She graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and then attended Texas Tech University School of Medicine. There Dr. Puryear was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society in her junior year. She subsequently completed an internship in Internal Medicine, and residency in Dermatology, at Texas Tech. She served as Chief Resident during her third year there.
This varied educational background and training brings Dr. Puryear's wealth of knowledge on the newest and latest treatments in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology to our practice. She is a board-certified dermatologist who sees adult and pediatric patients for a variety of skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis, eczema, and skin cancers. She also offers cosmetic treatments like Botox, dermal fillers, and much more.
Dr. Puryear keeps her training and knowledge fresh through active membership in the American Academy of Dermatology, Texas Dermatological Society, Society for Pediatric Dermatology, and the Texas Medical Association. Her work has been published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology. Dr. Puryear also presents at both regional and national meetings.
During her free time, she enjoys reading, running, and spending time with family.
Physician Assistants, or PA's, are healthcare professionals licensed to practice medicine as directed by a supervising physician. These professionals are trained similarly to physicians, and often attend many of the same medical classes throughout training, with the primary difference being time spent in formal training, such as residency and internship.
The term PA-C stands for Physician Assistant-Certified. These members of our team have passed a rigorous certification process and testing by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Certification is maintained through continuing education and recertification that takes place every six years.
PA's practice a wide range of services, both medical and surgical, that would traditionally be carried out by physicians. These services include physical examination, diagnosis and treatment of illness, order and evaluate lab tests, perform suturing of lacerations, and prescribe necessary medication.
Hope Thibodeaux, MPAS, PA-C
Hope spent her childhood in Southern Louisiana and earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University. Upon graduating and subsequent acceptance into the Physician Assistant program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, she moved to Texas. Hope earned her Master of Medical degree in Physician Assistant Studies, and is licensed in the state of Texas. She also holds national certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C). Hope holds professional memberships with the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Ami Bhattacharya, MPAS, PA-C
Ami is a PA-C with a dermatology specialty. Although she was born in India, she grew up in Houston, and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in MIS/Business Honors in 1997, graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, after which she worked as a management and technology consultant in the healthcare field.
Ami completed her Master of Medicine in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Her license is in the state of Texas, while she is also nationally certified as a PA-C.
Ami maintains membership with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Married with two young daughters who keep her very busy, Ami enjoys the flexibility within Dermatology to treat various conditions effectively, and the ability to provide personalized care to our patients.
Lauren Hughes MPAS, PA-C
After growing up in Flower Mound, Lauren attended North Central Texas College on a softball scholarship. After attending this school, and playing on their team for two years, Lauren went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Texas A&M University, graduating with honors. She then returned to Dallas and obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She is licensed by the state of Texas and also holds national certification as a PA-C. Lauren holds memberships with the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Brittany Schupbach, MPAS, PA-C
Brittany Schupbach has lived in Plano, Texas most of her life. She attended Plano Senior High and enjoyed being an officer of the Planoette drill team her senior year. She misses the school spirit and traditions of the school, but occasionally makes it back to some of the wildcat football games. She went on to Texas Tech university where she studied nutritional sciences and graduated summa cum laude in 2009.
After graduation she came back to Plano where she worked as a senior medical assistant for Dr. Selkin while applying for PA school. She has since returned as one of our Physician Assistants and was personally trained in dermatology by Dr. Selkin himself. She enjoys the variety that dermatology has to offer including surgical and cosmetic procedures.
She holds a certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is licensed with the Texas Medical Board. Her professional affiliations include Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
